Even if you read the intro, a day can be a long time (SM might belong to an entirely different company by now), so here’s a refresher on the methodology. Eleven other writers and I submitted ballots ranking our top 20 K-pop singles of 2022, with eligibility kept fairly open to allow for things like Japanese singles and popular K-R&B as well. Each person’s number one vote was worth 20 points, each number two vote was worth 19 points, etc., down to each number twenty vote getting 1 point. The final list reflects the top 20 songs…
